The Mid-Ohio Valley is teeming with talented female business owners. From dance and fitness classes to makeup & fashion there is something for every woman available locally. We are so lucky to have these resources at hand! Unfortunately, in the world of strip malls and large corporations, the small business owner can get lost in the cracks. Our goal is to introduce you to what is available in our area from small businesses, especially those run by and for women.
We are fortunate to have many of these strong women in our lives, and we want to tell you about them! At our events, you will have the opportunity of meeting the ladies listed on this page. We are always meeting new amazing women, so check back often! Not only will you learn who or what may be available at our events but what is available all the time! See below to 'meet' each fantastic woman or female-led organization and reach out to them! You never know, you might just find your new best friend (and if she also happens to give great massages, so much the better!)
Toni Kellar has a passion for helping women discover their inner rhythms and untapped potential through drumming! A drummer since her youth, she is founder and director of Roots To Rhythm, a trained HealthRhythms™ Facilitator, and a Remo Endorsed Drum Circle Facilitator. Toni spent years studying with Layne Redmond, author of “When the Drummers Were Women,” and has much to share about women and drumming. “Drumming helps us re-capture something that is innate and very deep within us, but very often forgotten or silenced,” Toni says. “Drumming connects our mind, body, and soul. It helps us re-discover and release our inner selves, and helps us connect our authenticity with others and the world around us, in a very positive and beautiful way.”
As Toni says, “if your heart is beating, you can drum!”
Hello, my name is Sabrina Wittekind, and I will be providing Zumba Fitness in the movement arts tent for our Red Tent community this upcoming weekend. I have a background in dance, and have been a licensed Zumba instructor since 2010, a ZIN member since 2015. Classes I am able to offer include: Zumba Fitness, Zumba Toning, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Kids & Kids Jr. and other forms of Dance Fitness. I currently teach 6 days a week around the Mid Ohio-Valley in St. Mary’s-WV, Fleming-Ohio, and Parkersburg-WV.
To describe myself, I would have to use three words: Educator, Dancer, and Motivator. I believe these to be the essential qualities that I use to guide my way through this world and work to inspire others through my work in dance fitness. I believe that in order to make a lasting difference in this world, you must find what your gift is, and use it as a skill to add positivity and light to your community.
A hero of mine, Chief Justice Sonia Sotomayor once said,
“As you discover what strength you can draw from your community in this world from which it stands apart, look outward, as well as in. Build bridges instead of walls.”
I believe in the integrity of that statement, so I have spent my life with one mission: to build bridges and community using the platform of dance as a way to do so. As women claim their talents and provide them to the world, we see that we have the capacity to build a beautiful community which will trickle outwards and provide the change and solace we seek in today’s everchanging world.
I hope you join me this weekend and dance to the beat of your heart!

She's excited about the Red Tent Retreat as she will have the opportunity to assist those ladies that feel they are too busy with life to invest time in their personal style. You are worth it! She believes it's important to take the time to work on your confidence and it should be a fun experience!
Let her show you how to take your personality, likes and dislikes and turn yourself into a gorgeous work of art!

Hey all! My name is Amber and I’m a certified Pound Pro. At the beginning of 2016, I was 35 years old, extremely unhealthy and overweight. I enlisted the combined powers of amazing women around me to help me find the inspiration to kickstart a healthy life, lose 56 pounds and be truly happy in my skin. Part of this journey took me to Cincinnati to train with a Pound Master Pro and get certified. Currently, I’m teaching at two locations around town weekly.
I’ve been a longtime lover of movement and loud music. Pound fitness has been a natural fit. This event will be so much fun, we all need to remember what it’s like to carve out time and be good to ourselves. I’ll be running Pound workshops so you can stop by and try it out with me! Pound is a full body workout disguised as a rock concert. Think Beastie Boys and Panic At The Disco. Infusing drumming with amazing music makes the squats and lunging fly by. Before you know it, the class is over and you want more! Every aspect can be modified, from advanced ab work, to doing it all from sitting in a chair, so no worries. Ripstix are supplied so be ready to ROCK.
We are a traveling troupe of fierce ladies who teach workshops on Yoga, Mediation, Tai Chi, Reiki and other energy-center practices. Book us for conferences, grand openings, in-depth workshops, and other events!
We specialize in: Slackline, Mindfulness Meditation, AcroYoga, Mantra, Hatha Yoga, Reiki, Tai Chi, Yin, Chakra Yoga, Dual Cultivation, Kid's Yoga, Self-Defense
